Anyone who travels on Forest Service roads or any of the PNW back roads know that getting struck by something can leave you stranded and drain your wallet FAST. After all, the front ends of our Sprinters are mostly plastic. They can deflect bugs but not a 600# Elk.

These guards are about survivability. After an animal strike, tree branch, or even vehicle collision, if you're off the beaten path using an Ex-Guard could mean getting back to safety and avoid being stranded.

This is not some wimpy decoration you find Amazon or the like, Ex-Guards are FRAME-MOUNTED (so a little bumper trimming is required) and weigh in at over 110lbs of pure high tensile, high strength 11-gauge steel. They also come coated with a PVC type impact resistant heat dipped coating. This coating is malleable and approximately 1/8 inch thick and will not chip or rust after minor impacts. These guards have the highest strength to weight ratio of any guard on the market.
